can anyone help with this trying to connect option 81 to cisco router the pinouts do not seem to work using this for telnetting please advise correct pinouts

thanks

You will need a cross over cable if connecting to cisco directly. Will try to find the pinouts.

are you trying to telnet into the switch from the cisco? if so, can you ping the switch ip? either put a hub between them or just a rolled data cable, the same cable you would need to go ethernet to ethernet between to cisco routers

still what are the pinouts on the db 9

if what you are looking for is the DB9 pinout for the TTY Paddleboard:
Northern DB9 DB9 Pinout DB25 Pinout
Paddle Board Standard Standard
2 3 2 TXD
6 2 3 RXD
4 7 4 RTS
9 8 5 CTS
8 6 6 DSR
3 5 7 GRND
1 1 8 DCD
7 4 20 DTR

If not - please be more specific for what connector you need pinouts for.

sounds like he wants the pinout of the ethernet connection? not sure about the post, the db15 connects to a transeiver and that has a standard cat5 connection. to telnet to the paddle board you would need a lantronix, another ethernet nic style interface
