pinging is not working

Hello! friends
I have two m/c. One is Unix Sco5 and other is NT4SP5 server.
Both r in different domain i.e. UNIX in my.com
NT in my.my.com
All the M/cs on network are connected to NT domain.
All the NT domain m/c are configured for default gateway.
Pinging any m/c of the NT networking fine either by ip or host name.
Pinging to Unix m/c from NT server is working but it fail fron any of the other
host.
DNS is setup in NT and nsswitch.conf file in unix is pointing toward
DNS first.
Is anybody has some clues as what is missing?
i am desperately need ur help.

What are the NT m/c's using as thier default gateway?

How is default gateway - whatever it is - connected to the NT m/c's and the UNIX server? Mike

Thanks.
Both NT and Unix using same default gateway.

But the m/cs in NT domain using different.
Let i may tell as such..

UNIX domain csir.res.in gateway 203.197.218.49
NT ,, hbt.csir.res.in ,, ,,,,

m/cs in the domain of hbt.csir.res.in using gateway ipaddress of NT 192.168.205.1
Hope u may get some clue.

Ok.....

you could try a
[tt]traceroute -d some.host.behind.gateway[/tt]
that might give you an idea about what is going on.
