Ok.. Let me explain a little bit as I know the subject is a little weird.

We have a help desk at our company. We run DHCP so a lot of times people's IP addresses change.

I would like to be able to put a program on their desktop and have them click it and have it pop up the ip address of their computer. No other info besides the IP address otherwise they will get confused most likely.

Is there such a thing? These computers run 98 or XP

Thanks

Josh

With win 9.x, you can create a shortcut to winipcfg on the desktop. Not sure how to do this in XP...

Create a batch file that has these two lines

ipconfig
pause

Microsoft has a newer version that works for NT/2000/XP.
It is called winpcfgnt, I think. Search at Microsoft.
