Hi,

i have a strange problem since i connected my Summit x450e-24p to another coreswitchport. The switch and the vlans works fine but i can't ping the switch or connect via telnet. Has someone an idea?

David

Hi Maybe you have to do a ping/telnet from right VR?

X450a-24t.1 # ping vr "VR-Default" 1.1.1.1

Hi, thank you for your answer.
but it doesn't work. I can ping all my 12 switches, but 1 switch is not available. All switches have a ip in the same vlan.
I had a failure on a coreswitch last week, therefore i connected all switches to another coreswitch.
What options in the config should i check?

THX

As you've changed to another core switch make sure the port on the new core switch is tagged to the correct vlan in which you manage the switches. Wont be able to see it otherwise

Thanks, i solved the problem. My mistake was the configuration for the switchport where i had connected the mgmt-interface from the switch. it was tagged instead of untagged in the switch-vlan.
