Hello,

I am a Computer Science teacher at a high school, and I also teach yearbook using InDesign. However some of my students have placed pictures in documents via links, and I would like to move those pictures into the same folder where my inDesign documents are so it can easily be moved to the publisher in June.

Is there a way to batch move and relink the pictures for my inDesign documents?

When you Publish your inDesign document, InDesign will automatically create an output directory. This directory will contain your Indesign document and a sub directory with copies of all the links and another sub directory with the fonts.

Publish makes it really easy to gather all the necessary files for your publisher.

I'm not sure that Publish is the correct term. If you got to File>Package and choose links, fonts etc.

If you're sending the INDD file to a printing place then you have to supply the fonts.

I stand corrected, the correct term is Publish. I was relying on my memory, never a good thing to do...

Package, Package, Package, I mean Package. I'm going back to bed now.....
