I have a question about call picup groups and the call going to VM. At a customer site, I created a pickup group for a manager and his two assistants. It works like it's supposed to. The issue is that the manger is saying that when a call comes to his extension, and no answers, it goes to one of the assistants VM box & not his. The fwd no answer and fwd on busy for all 3 sets point to the VM DN so I can't understanwhy this would be happening. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreicated. Thanks In Advance.

check and see if there is an answer dn appearing on the assistant's telephone. if not that start taking forwarding to vm off one phone at a time and see which phone is actually forwarding the call to vm.

1. make the prime set on the target line as the correct ones
2. Control set for each line and set as the correct extension

and pickup feature does not interact with this

No answer DN on the assistant's phone, I failed to mention in my original post that the assitant's each have an appearance of the manager's number on their phone and these are CO lines. Where would I find the control set setting or is that the prime set?

If that appearance on his assistants phone is also set to ring, that is the problem. This would be true if you are talking about calls coming straight in. (meaning not being transfered from the AA)

Yes Prime set, under Line programming.
You could also have the assistants sets go to mail after 4 rings and the managers after 3 if you like the way the lines are set up, that is done in Capabilities programming.

bkrike - that suggestion was right on. I changed the line appearances on the assistant's phones to appr only, made a test call and now all appears to be OK> I'm just waiting to hear from the customer to see if the changes are acceptable to him. Thanks to everyone for their input.
