Pickup Groups DS handsets

Ok this has been bugging me for a while so I thought I would ask the question.

To create clusters of users who can pick up each others calls I create a huntgroup and then a short code for call pick up members etc, however the DS phone will show a G on the phone as obviously they are part of a huntgroup.

Is there a better way of doing this? as I really want the G only to show for users who jump in and out of huntgroups and not for users I have to make hunt group members in order to facilate call pickup.

I wondered this, and the fact that call pickup members does not work for users with their membership disabled is a real bitch!!

there is a solution for this

make two groups
make one button (pickup member) for in and out the group and assing the group where they need to log in and out
you do NOT do that for the second group wich they are member off
When the are not in that group they are still member of that other group so the pickup member still works

@ravenandy ,thisis the best solution and you can not remove the G

Yeah I know tlpeter, I meant if you disable the users membership to get rid of the G you cant then pick up calls to those users!! Cheers anyway!! I sould have been clearer

It always feels like a massive bodge when I set up pickup groups like this. I guessed it was the only way to do it and it's nice to see others have come to the same conclusion!
