hi, if i have my artwork in front of me and i wish to use a colour that i have used already, anyone know how to do it? i can't reaccess it for reuse with live paint bucket and i can't find out it's number. the only way i can use the same colour at the moment is if i happen to have written it's number down when i first chose it. i want to use it like photoshop when you eyedrop a colour and then can use it to fill or whatever. i'm using CS2. seems like a basic question! hope someone can help. thanks. rach

When you select an object, its fill color will appear in the fill color at bottom of tool pallet. That color will be highlighted in teh swatches window. You can also use the eyedropper tool to pick up the color. Eyedropper is with paint bucket on tool pallet. Hold curser on bucket to get the flyout with eyedropper.

Using OSX 10.3.9 & 10.4.11 on a G4, G5 & Intel Macbook

...and to save a color you like, drag it from that little color window at the bottom of the tools palette into the bottom of the color swatches palette.
