Hi everybody,

Can anybody explain me the difference between Physical Data Modelling and Logical Data Modelling.

Thanks,
Teky.

The most basic answer to the question I've seen is that:

Logical Model: Tables and their relationships. But columns can have English names. And their is no more details then Customer Table includes Customer Name and Customer Address.

Physical Model: Details are spelled out, especially for columns. Includes datatype and size, and actual name in DB.

HTH,

PF

Thank you very much for all your responses.
They are really helpful.
