php4win download

Hello,

I am starting out with PHP using the WROX Beginning PHP4 book. In the book they ask me to download a specific installation package called - php4win (for windows2000 and IIS5).

The web site they refer to is down. I have done a google search trying to find other sites to download it but cannot find any. I have seen forum postings with others saying the same thing.

Does anyone have this file that they can email me OR better yet (if it doesn't break any license agreement) post a download URL for people to access this file? Later on I won't need it but this package has all the extensions that are used in the book.

Second, can anyone list good resources to find extensinos?

Just download the latest Windows zip version from

http://www.php.net,

you dont neet PHP4WIN, and in fact it no longer exists. Take a look here for more info:

Beginning PHP4 by WROX is an excellent book for beginners like me. i'm learning a lot from it.

However, i dont use php4win for my installation - setting-up LAMP is at first a tediuos one, but it helps a lot when you try to do it on your own.

It's a good thing when you learn from your mistakes.
