Greetings,

I am new to mysql, php and apache but have been using dreamweaver/IIS for some time. I have setup a linux box with suse 9.3, apache and php. It appears the server is up and running (i can pull up the php.info etc from a remote machine). Now I would like to have my dreamweaver connect to the linux box so i can continue with my coding. How can i setup my dreamweaver to connect to the mysql database on the linux box? I also downloaded mysql odbc and tried to install on my windows machine but keeps saying cann't find mysq server. I have checked mysql server is running through the phpMyAdmin tool.

Any help is appreciated.

What version of DreamWeaver do you have? You have to set up a site and testing server for your MySQL instance. It's pretty straightforward in MX. Prior to that I had UltraDev 4 and recall it being a little more confusing.
