PHP compiling, not recognizing --with-xml

Hello,

Our system is Redhat ES 4 and its running Apache 2.2.4 compiled, PHP 5.2.4 (compiled), and MySQL 5.0.45.
During compiling PHP, it says it doesn't recognize --with-xml. I believe this worked in the previous version of PHP.
Is --with-xml no longer usable? I checked ./configure --help but didn't have anything with xml but there were some commands for libxml. Any ideas?

according to the manual, you do not need to specify -with-xml. it is there automatically.
