I am working on Windows XP & had Photoshop installed just fine for awhile, but then something happened?? and now when you click on the icon it tries to open for about 5 seconds, the intro window is present, but then it just goes away. There is no error message or anything. I have uninstalled & reinstalled several times & its not working. Its like a file is missing that is necessary to fully open it or something.

Thanks for your assistance!

Hello,
Did you ever get it to work. Mine is doing the same thing on my new laptop. My does give an error message "file exists" it lists a temp file above that. I tried deleting the tmp file. I delete, empty trash, reboot and tryit again same thing. I have reset the preferences as directed on the photoshop site. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

I am feeling rather desparate- I have a job to get out.

Any help would be appreciated.
Pam
