ok, i recently took this image: (which is actually a desktop backround, resized for convenience; click picture to see full size)

I didn't like the way the backround and shadows looked so i made this:

the only problem is, when i took the actual picture away from the backround, the edges got fuzzy and it looks really bad (as a larger file anyway). i was wondering if anybody knows how to (easily?) get rid of the fuzziness and make it look better.
PS: i do have the original and a copy of the orange one with all the layers if needed.
