I recently opened Photoshop CS and started drawing a picture after i was done outlining my idea in black i found to my surprise that i could not get ANY color only black white and different shades of grey! No red, blue, yellow NOTHING! PLZ help me with this problem i have been trying to get it to work for days now with no luck! Any help that you can give will be GREATLY APPRICIATED!

try creating a new image.

check the settings in the window that opens. make sure thay the image is set to one of the colour settings rather than grayscale.

to change this setting for an image you alredy have check the image settings.

And make sure that the quick mask is not active. If you have accidentally hit the shortcut key "Q" that could also be your problem.
