Hi there,
i would like to make a banner to put on the left hand side of an A4 document, however i would like it to be a collage of images which looks like they all merge into one. does anyone have any advice on how i should go about this? i have been playing around but am yet to create one image (of many images) which looks good! help please, thanks gaby

you can lasso an area then feather by quite a large amount (eg. 25 pixels) then copy the area & paste on top of another image. keep doing this and the pictures will seamlessly blend into each other.

duncdude's method certainly works. You could also put pictures on separate layers and then erase the edges of each one with a large soft edge brush eraser, perhaps starting with a brush setting of 20% in the Eraser Options palette to give gradual blend. Also try using the layers blending modes. It might be a good idea to place a background layer with a multicolour (suptle) graduation so that you are not erasing to a white background. Put some noise in it, motion blur - just experiment. Good luck.

hi there,
thanks so much. i really appreciate your advice. im going to get on and have a practice now. thanks

depending on your PS version add a layer mask to your layer.
Next go to your tool palette and use your gradient tool. First set your color swatch back to default by pushing d. Take your gradient and swipe it in some direction. Remember that black conceals and white reveals.
Use it not only on one picture but two or more. I know this sounds confusing depending on your skill level.
Practice this until you find your preferred result.
