Hi All,

I am trying to use Arabic and Hebrew text in photoshop. The problem is that it comes out completely different. I have tried various techniqes but to no avail. Does any one have idea how I could copy and paste some text in arabic or hebrew into photoshop? Many Thanks

do you ahve the language packs??

I am assuming you have some flavour of windows.

if you search the microsoft site you will find the corret dl.

I have had to use japanese in photoshop before and it took a download and a restart to get it up an running.

I do't remember it being available for a large number of fonts but 1 is better than none.

Windows version is English, and Adobe is also standard English. I just cant use left to right text. I think I may need the Eastern version of Adobe.

Hi,

There was a similar post about this a long time ago and the solution was to simply istall the font in C:\WINNT\FONTS or C:\WINDOWS\FONTS and then re-start photoshop and it would work just fine.

You definetely don't need any other versions of Photoshop.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help. Where does internet explorer store its fonts, because the one that seems to view everything correctly in arabic is Arabic[Windows], any ideas on that one.

Many Thanks

SPYDERIX thanks for that. I have already installed various arabic fonts in the correct area, but when I copy and paste something in arabic it completly changes it. If I paste it into word it works fine. I have also tried Paintshop pro same problem, any other ideas.

I have just found this it might help.

To display CJK type options:
In Windows Choose Edit > Preferences > General.
Select Show Asian Text Options.

To display CJK font names in English:

In Windows Choose Edit > Preferences > General.
Select Show Font Names in English.

Hi xerox999
I think the way it will work will be by having the Adobe
Photoshop 6 or 7 ME edition (middle east)
because i had before adobe photoshop english version and
i was not able to write or paste any arabic test.
now i have photoshop 7 ME edition and works great.
