Hi everyone,
Is there anyone out there that is using Photoshop 7.0 with a Mac Ibook? I was wondering if the ibook can run the program effeciently?
Thanks!

Every product Apple has called iBook (including the orange and white clamshell) can run the current operating systsm, OS X (10), and the earliest ones had OS 9 pre-installed. Photoshop 7 works best in OS X, but will run fine in OS 9. There is nothing else missing in the iBooks that desktop boxes have (like RAM capacity, clock speed or hard drive capacity) that will affect your running Photoshop 7. The only issue I have: if the iBook is your main Photoshop workstation, then next Xmas, ask Santa for a tablet, or at least an auxiliary mouse. You don't want to be painting or drawing with that cockamamie pressure pad.
Otherwise, go for it!

Thanks! Hmm, now you have me thinking... I have a usb wacom tablet... I'm wondering if it has mac drivers - I'll have to check into that !

i was also wondering if an top spec iBook would be capable of being a laptop for multimedai purposes, only using while on the run or overseas. I would still mainly use my desktop at home for major stuff. i use flash, fireworks, photoshop, illustrator, etc. Would the iBook be able to handle these programs????
Thanks
