Photoshop 4 does not start in windows XP

I read some forums and they stated that there is a patch for the photoshop 4 to make it work with XP so it could recognize the ram were can I find this patch

While I don't know where to get the patch; there is similar situation for Pshop 4.0 Elements that may lead to a conclusion for PShop 4.0 RAM problem in XP (just a guess).

Anyway I would still start at

http://www.adobe.com

then Support tab then Knowledgebase and search for "4.0 Ram XP" etc.

If no luck then Google is probably your next best bet unless you get a better reply than mine (hopefully you will)

Have you tried running it in compatibilty mode

Goto the executable and right click it
Click the compatibilty tab
Tick the Run this program in compatibility mode for and select the OS, I suggest trying the Windows 98 / ME option

Then try and load it, let me know what happens, I am intrested.
