phonebook issues using 5312's on a rel 8 UR4 3300

I have a 3300 (release 8 UR4) running mainly 5212 phones. I have added 5 x 5312 phones as Mitel cannot sell us anymore 5212's.

There are problems when the 5312 users use the phonebook search feature, they either cannot find some entries or else they do not get the next prompt for when they are coming across multiple surname entries.

Has anyone else had\got this problem ?

This is a known issue. Upgrade to at least 8.0 UR5

Thanks Kwb..... Mitel are sugesting I inject some release 5312 firmware files into the release 8 3300. I assume that this wont impair the operation of 5212 phones. This 3300 is being upgraded to UR5 soon so I'll wait and see if that cures the problem.

I was the on the front line with the Mitel engineers resolving this issue. UR5 definitely fixes it. I even found a way to duplicate the issue on 5224 sets. The 5312 Firmware will not touch the Phonebook issue, but do it anyway.

The phonebook issue is very random (Less than 10% of sites) and has something to do with how or where the files are created during install.

Thanks, I can confirm the upgrade to 8 UR5 has fixed this problem for us too.
