Phone wired to ext 290, but works as ext 666 1

Please forgive my noobness. My company recently lost our principal IT admin who also handled our phone system. We believe this person may have set the phone extension 290 to work as 666 as a joke with one of his staff (also not with the company). We would like to restore this extension back to 290. Can you help?

I am familiar with how to access both the voicemail admin programming and PBX programming. I feel like I've looked at every available option, but am just not seeing it.

I'm assuming that you do have a Norstar system?. What version is it?.

I believe it is a Norstar system. I apologize for my incompetence and appreciate your patience! The version number is "30CQG05 NAT".

Have you tried to change the extension number with "Change DN"?

Thank you MooreTel, that was the problem. I had set 290 to 290, which didn't work, but setting 666 to 290 fixed it. Much appreciated!
