When I try to type 1408 or 1416 into the phone type on the station form, it gives me "invalid entry". I know there is something I need to update to get an updated list of phone types, but I'm not sure what it is.

Here is my swversion. I know I'm out of date quite a bit, I've recently taken this system over and the previous person who ran it did not take care of maintenance very well.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I'm currently using. I just wanted to know, is this something that will update with CM 6 or 7?

you could alias those 2410 to be a 1408 and a 2420 to be a 1416, cha alias station

Yes you should see those phones somewhere in the CM6.x releases. Get to 7 and you'll not have to worry about this specific issue.

Thanks Yall,

It was more curiosity than anything.

When creating an alias I suggest you put an identifier to indicate the alias such as 1408A. Otherwise you may have an issue later when Avaya provides native support for the set type.
