phone too quiet

I have a couple users that can not be heard well by callers. Have swapped handsets but it didn't help. Is there any way to adjust user voice volume on a NEAX2000?

Check out 15135>ZZ>0/1 for the RSC of the phone from CM>1202>XXXX>ZZ, does this happen on all types of calls or only certain call types, have you tried the phone at the mdf, swapped ports on the card, swapped station cards or moved FP's?
 
Sorry but your a bit over my head.
I use Matworx and from moc mode tried 1202 but it gives me '1515' for each extension. Can you please clarify how to check from moc in matworkx as I don't really know how to program via the handsets.
Most of the complaints are from external callers but it is slightly softer internally as well. I have not swapped ports. Don't understand 'mdf'. and have never swapped a station card before.

In the post by LDthirtytwo it isn't obvious that Z can be a two digit number I assume he thought you would refer to the command manual.

So in 1202 you have found a value for Z = 15

now in moc mode you want Command 15135 de 15 de to see what is set here. This setting determines whether the changes made to the recieve volume on a Dterm are retained after the call terminates 0 = yes 1 = no.

Now if these are analogue phones it is an entirely different matter and the first thing you need to do is test them at the TPF (TPF Stands for Test Point Frame whereas MDF stands for Main Distribution Frame there is a difference but its not worth going into here) which is the first frame nearest the system, to see if it is a cabling problem. If not try swapping the card to see if it is card related you can unplug the card with the power on but do it when the system is quiet so you don't cut too many people off.

By the way you said you have swapped the phones but did you swap it with a known good one. You would be amazed at the number of times I've had customers swap a faulty phone with another faulty one because it was easier to get that spare off the shelf than try one from another office. Problem is the faulty ones always gets put on the shelf.
