I put this in the BCM forum & so far I got Panasonic & Shoretel so I thought I would put it here in a more General Forum and see what I get.

"Ok here comes the end of the year and it's time to start getting ready for 2012. So the boss has asked me to look into additional systems that we may want to be able to offer and/or support. Right now like most we are heavy into Avaya/Nortel, we also work with IPitomy, Mitel/Inter-tel and some Cisco. Just looking to get a feeling from any of you some of the other systems you might recommend. I'm looking at some now like Panasonic, Samsung, & Allworx anyone got any pros and cons on them or any other systems to look at?"

barracuda has a system called cudatel. It is still pretty new and they are almost done working all the bugs out but i believe it has a ton of potential.

diversification is great but you are stretching yourself already with what you have.
It might be better to stay with a good product and know it quite well than getting another product that might be just as good but you have no clue how to install it and you pay your dues on the back of your clients.
We do Avaya only (now Nortel on the inherited path) and that is plenty to deal with as there is constantly new stuff coming and keeping up to date is almost a fulltime job.

How about finding a SIP based phone system and using the Nortel/Avaya 11xx or 12xx phones on pure SIP on an IP system? New school Centrex I call it.

I have it setup via 1140E/1120E sets via voip.ms. You can either buy a license from Avaya for extended features or you can use the sets on standard SIP feature sets for free....refer to Michael McNamaras Avaya forum for instructions, or I can post them here if anyone is interested!
