Phone rings once then goes directly to vm

I just setup the phone for the new user on their display and built their mailbox through Norstar ICS programming Tools. I can't figure what the setting is to remove this and have it go back to the normal 4 ring threshold.

sounds like you have that phone set to fwd no ans to the v-mail dn on 0 rings, chg that number of rings back to 4...

I went to capabilities>Show>Fwd No Answer>Show

That is set to:

Fwd to:4xxx and Forward delay:6

It still picks up to vm on one ring???? Could there be something else?
 
Is it when you call the DID or the extention number? If the DID check the Auto att. see if the DID is assigned to the AA.
 
Yes, it is the DID, but also extension. Either way, it rings once and she tries to bounce on it immediately. Otherwise it goes right to vm. I'll check AA now.
 
Don't see anything in AA, and all her settings seem to match other attendants.
 
Is the DID set to Appear and Ring? if so make sure it has 2 Appearnaces of that Target line, if Ring Only make sure 2 Intercoms keys.

When you say vmail do you mean main greeting or user mailbox?


 
It's the main greeting to the voicmailbox, (hello, you've reached Jennifer.....) Then leave message. Where do I check for the DID appear or ring options?
 
if i read your thread correct you said that u have her DID set to ans, that you don't want the DID gets it's forwarding from the set prog. So under the V-mail side...

Process of elimination. Never thought of this because our business units aren't supposed to be tinkering with their systems.

It's a "night" issue. The office laid off about 50 people in the summer. They nighted every unattended phone. Now they are re-hiring engineers all over again. Those phones are now being re-occupied. This is why we keep having this problem. I never even thought about night because these idiots aren't supposed to be touching them except to dial numbers. All phones are supposed to be fully accessible all the time.
