Phone restarts after Extn Login

Hi again,
in an IP500v2 R6 after pressing extension Login code the phone restarts!
Have you ever seen this?
All phones are 16xx with force login feature enable.

P.S - create each Base and User on the phone when you start it up. Pays to have a POE switch with you and so 5 or so at a time!

Ok i did it this way.
For some reason still 10 seconds after login the phone freezes and then restarts and comes back with the desired extension.. Problem is intermittent.

I have had the same issue. Sometimes the phone restarts and sometimes it's perfectly fine. I just said hell with it.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, we did program ACD users well outside the range of the physical extension. We also have only 16xx type phones.


Just thought I would mention that we have experienced the same issue, but really didn't do anything to resolve it.

OK, then you need do do some traces and escalate to Avaya.

I didn't as the above setup cured this for us.

What type of data switch are you connecting these phones to?

We are using a CISCO SFE2000P (previously manufactured by Linksys).

on the HP do you turn of flow control? if no, the do so. also turn off 802.1Q on the handsets

This is raised and has been reproduced by Avaya

Was raised on 6.0.14, havent tested on 6.0.18 but i dont think there was time to have it included

This is a known bug we had a private bulid for ver 5 to fix it and i have had it on ver 6
