Customer has windows 7 64 bit unable to load phone manager 4.2.34. error message . The application has failed to start because its side-by-side config is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxtrace.exce tool.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

In the shortcut of the PhoneManager add -debug, as follows:

Right click on the shortcut and select properties.
add C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Phone Manager\PhoneManager.exe" -debug
Now you get an extra option called debug which tells you what is happening or you can post the trace here to see if we can make sense of it :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Make sure folder redirection isn't enabled. I have run into cases where the phone manager folder gets redirected to a network drive and causes issues.

Check if he installed the tftp client, by default it's disabled

Try navigating to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Phone Manager" as before.

Delete "PhoneManager.exe.manifest".

This file can cause small problems and is usually responsible for numerous errors that appear in Windows 7.

@Jay9020, you won't need to delete the PhoneManager.exe.manifest if you install it directly from the right path X:\...\USER4_2_39\sc\scSetup.exe

Jay9020, many thanks for the tip on deleting the manifest file. I had the 'side-by-side config' error on a machine running Windows Vista for some time and nobody had worked out to clear this but your tip did the trick !

I'm having issues installing (CCR) 7.0.2.2 on a server 2008 64bit.

The only doc's I have are 2003. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks
