We have a customer experiencing problems with phone manager on Windows 7. We have upgraded to 4.2(34) and also have got the customer to use the port opening tool.

Customer has also tried the following:

Added rules to the firewall to permit all traffic to / from 192.168.1.200. Which also had no effect.

Switched off the firewall from the control panel which also had no effect.

Stopped the firewall service which also had no effect.

Could you please advise on anything else that can be done to resolve. Attached is a screen shot of what is happening.

Regards,

I have seen that and i still have no idea why that is.
I suspected Skype to be the problem because on my laptop is started straight away.

IS there skype installed on the pc ?
Is it a Dell pc ?

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

It is a DELL PC, no skype on computer, only programs installed are Microsoft office and a few printer drivers if that helps.

I have seen this also on a Dell pc.
If you can install a clean OS on it.
If you can't then give that advise :)

Cheers will inform the customer of the good news!

Thanks.

Most of the times if there are issues it is on a Dell machine.
I do not know why but there must be something what causes this trouble.

It definitely looks like a porting issue or another program using/blocking the port.

Indeed but which program :)
I have had more issues with phone manager on a Dell pc.
I never get phone manager pro softphone working on them and i resist to put more then five minutes on it to solve it :)

well awaiting word back from scan source and if they cant fix its bad news for the customer

Goning to get customer to install manager admin on the problem PC and see if it has the same issue. If it connects then I will try the phone manager again. Had a strange one in the past that only when manager was open would the phone manager work.

This is a new dell isn't it?

have you uninstalled all the bloat-ware?

All the dell's I even got had loads of useless stuff - but more critically, is there any security software left on it?

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Will have a word with customer regarding this, yeah it is a new dell.

Manager did work for me.

more over, I bet it had norton on it?

you have to do a quick google search (if it had any norton product) and look for Norton clean software. norton supply it and it clears all the shit thats still attached to the NIC the filters your network traffic - such as norton 360 etc.

Thanks guys Norton engine was running in background. One to remember for the next few months. Thanks again.
