Who can to me say like I Phone manager pro on Citrix installs

I really don't understand your question..

But if the question is: Do Phone Manager Pro work on Citrix installations, then the answer is yes.

I don't know if IP Phone Manager works.

We have got a couple running on Thin Client/Citrix or
Terminal Server.

Note the only things that we have found that don't wok are TAPI, Popping Outlook and IMS.

I also suspect things like IP Phone Manager may not work because they need to run some sort of sound card on the client PC and Thin Client applications don't support sound very well.

OK, i have Install the Phone Manager pro on Citrix Server, that is not a problem, new i run the phone manager to the client and then we recived a message " the mixer ist not found" we i click the message box "ok" then run the phone manager pro with no problem. what is the Message "the mixer is not found" ???

Thanks Heinz

Pass never had that one before.

What version of phone manager 1.4 or 2.0? And what application?
Phone Manager Pro/Lite.
IP Phone Manager(VoIP).

I would have to pass this on on to FSG

[cheers]

The mixer not found message to me sugests that there is no sound card on your system (as already mentioned) & therefor the PM application is unable to play any sound files, ringing etc. as this is not essential for operation the application continues to work as normal

In Phone Manager settings, try unchecking the "Play Sound" feature. I don't think the error occurs then.

I have performed quite some Phone Manager / Citrix installs, and haven't experienced that problem...

Beware when installing PM Pro on Citrix WAN when using IPO Version 2. System licencing has changed and you must install a feature key and licence at each site. It was possible in V1.4 to have a single licence shared between all sites !

Guys just having a look at this one.

Does PM Pro pop up on the screen on anincoming call? I have someone thats looking to buy an IP406 but has Citrix with Thin Clients.

I did see that you said Outlook wont pop, but just wondered if Phone Manager will. Have you had any problems with any of the othe s/w ie VM Pro

Thanks

Hi yes phone manager does pop on calls or close on no call we have 5 citrix servers that communicate with 4 ip offices at remote locations and that phone manager points too and it works well. I did have to play with the cisco routes to allow the BLF in phone manager to work correctly as what happened was the last person that open phone manager on a citrix server their BLF's worked and no elses would.

Hello,

we have Install the Phone Manager 1.4 an we have the problem never. The Problem was the Version 2.013. Avaya send my a new version 2.01.p1 with this version we have the mixer message not.

New we have the next Problem with TAPI. We have 5 Destination and the head is the citrix server. we have install 5 IPO Small Office.

Have you a solution????

I have installed phone manager 2.1 on a citrix server in a 2000 environment however some users are experiencing the application to lock up. This isn't the case for the other applications published in the session.
Is there specific settings required to be set for Phone manager to run correctly in a citrix session?

thanks,

There are some command line options for phone manager that I would think would be very helpfull for citrix environment installs. Especially disabling the check for a sound card and giving the no mixer error dialog box. Refer to the Avaya doc "Phone Manager Installation & Maintenance". It's on the docs CD and support.avaya.com

I am not receieving these kind of errors though, are you sure this will make any difference to Phone Manager hanging/freezing?

I would disable sound card checking in a citrix environment purely on principle - it is of no value (unless you have properly mapped sound resources for every client). It's conceivable the soundcard check is causing the freeze up before it can even complain.
