When a user has problems with Phone Manager log in due to a corrupt file causing log in errors, is there any way to save the user's speed dials data before deleting the old profile in My Documents?
To avoid this once they have logged in and setup, take a copy of the Avaya folder and rename to Spareavaya or something, then when it gets corrupted you have an uncorrupted version handy. I don't know a way of doing it after it's already corrupted though!!
In a few cases this saved a lot op typing and clicking:
copy the file ListViewSpeed2Extn from the corrupt profile before deleting.
Delete the profile, restart PM to auto recreate the default profile. Close PM and copy the saved file over the default (empty) one.
Most of the the time it isn't the speeddial list that gets corrupted and it only takes 30 seconds to try.
