I have VOIP, Model 5610 SW and Phone Manager Pro (3.2.28).

I have Phone Manager Pro at home too and I know I can do this.

At the office, I only want to login into Phone Manager PRO and It won't let be do that until I login into the Model 5610 first.

Thanks
Andy

you need to be more specific on what you have. what exactly do you want to accomplish, what applications do you have (PMP, iPMP, etc), do you have VPN's????

Sorry to be so vague, early Monday morning.

I want to use a headset on my desktop at work through the computer and not use the 5610 phone. Potentially give it to someone else and do everything via VOIP with Phone Manager Pro.

Thanks
Andy

There are a few things you need to do here to get this working.

If you are using a soft phone your ext needs to be set up as a voip extn, also your phone manager type needs configuring. Then there are various settings to be made in PM.

Go to
and have a look in the manual, there is a section on how to configure a soft phone.

I think I have setup correctly.

My USER is set to Phone Manager Softphone, I have VOIP enabled on my Phone Manager Pro, but the only thing that hadn't done was set an IP address for my EXTENSION. Should I add my IP address for my computer, the help for the extension says to leave it 0.0.0.0 so you can log in from any IP address.

The strange thing is I can log in from home via VPN and use my Phone Manager Softphone just not a work. I have to be logged into my 5610.

Thanks
Andy

Your description does not give enough info regarding extension numbers etc etc.

Not enough to go on.

Please let me know what else I can provide for you? Is there something specific you need?

Just to reiterate:

Phone Manager Pro on Desktop not able to login into Phone System without the Physical 5610SW phone being logged in first.

My Setup:

Extension: Phone Manager Pro SoftPhone
User: Has VOIP setup

Able to VPN into system and log in using Phone Manager Pro Softphone from home without logging into Physical Phone (5610SW).

Any other info you need, please ask.
