Hi Guys

thanks for all your other help so far

had this issue pop up this morning.

All users upgraded to PM3.2.30 ( after removing old Version and rebooting )

Parked calls cannot be retreived using PM buttons ( had to write shortcodes) and transfering a call to a speed dial ( ie. jon ) sends it elsewhere ( eg paul ) even though no extension numbers have been changed

TIA

Mark

Morning Guys

no=one got any ideas for this. Boss is really getting on my case about it. Currently donwloading the Maintenance release 3.2.34 hoping this will resolve.

Any help gratefully received

Mark

What version firmware are you running on the IP office?

Hi Matt

3.2(55) at the mo, currently downloading the maintenance release of 3.2.57

Heard too many bad things about 4.x so not going there yet. I'll wait till the SCN is working

Cheers

Mark

I had something similar - I could park a call on a park 1, but couldn't retrieve it.

Please have a look at Call Status and make sure that the call *is* parked where you expect it to be!

It may be hard to do - have you tried with a default config...

Likewise, I guess you've upgraded the system from a previous software release - what was it?

Hi again Matt

its a brand new 406v2, upgraded from 2.1 through thr various stages of (99)'s to 2.3(55)

call status shows correct parking slots and other PM's show it there too

using shortcodes of 1*/1~ etc for park / retrieve and that works with corresponding slot used in PM

can use PM to put them in to parking slots

the mis-mapped speed dials is a bit confusing too as this is only on a few machines.

Cheers

Mark

Try changing your park slot numbers on a couple of PM to something 500,501 etc etc.

Does that make any difference?

I'll see if I can give it a go a bit later on

users hate change and aren't the easiest to get to try things out 'on the off chance'

cheers

I am pretty certain i have seen this before and there was some cfg clashing with the 1.

I cannot remember what but if the change works then you know there is something in the cfg that is clashing.

Look for users starting with 1 or shortcodes or stuff like that.

I wrote it off to a corrupt config - teh customer decided to live with it rather than pay for a re-write!

have you tried with a default config?

lucky you - i had a hell of a time upselling to a 406 because they'd lose the 3 ( three ) 20 series digital handsets !!!

BP is being arsey now too, won't give support because they didn't do the upgrade ( it's a telephone support only contract they knew cust had in house tech )

I'm on site Thursday - PS any further advice in my SCN ipo to IPO over MPLS still gratefully received

Mark

Is teh config built form scratch, or an import for a previous version / system?

This smells very like a config corruption kind of thing to me - little wierdies happening

Before you retype the cfg try changing the park numbers.

I have had the same trouble when there where extensionnumbers 1 and 2 the parkslots 1 and 2 would not work.
The extensions 1 and 2 were introduced bij logging in on IPphones with extensionnumber 1 or 2 and 'auto create extension' enabled in the systemtab.

ah interesting

we have 1 IP phone at this site, with a 1xx or 2xx extension

i'll check the auto-create too

its only picking up through Phone Manager lite that has the issues, using 'rideparkedcall' shortcode works fine

the speed dial ringing diff users is confusing too

Cheers

Mark

Hi

I'll be upgrading the 406 FW and the user apps to latest versions later today

hope to be able to try other suggestions then too

Thanks for patience
