Hello,

I am looking into the possibility of being able to determine if a company worker has turned on their DND light by browsing to the company directory on our intranet.

I assumed this meant getting Phone Manager data in some manner (database, API, etc). However, I could be talking about obtain IP Office data.

Has anyone heard of doing this? I don't even know if this is a possibility, let alone how to do it.

Best regards,
Joseph Parchem

Now that would be cool, Umm Feature Request along with a Web Interface for programming !!!

I'd probably be partial to enabling the delta server output error information to a log file and then parse the log file for data showing the user put him/herself in DND mode. I took a look at the log output and you shouldn't have too hard a time with it if you use regular expressions.

If you're inventive enough you could put some pretty interesting stats up there by parsing out that script.

Hello hawkscorpion,

That sounds wonderful. How do I go about enabling the delta server output error information? I am not even entirely certain what you mean by delta server.

As far as I understand it, there is a proprietary Avaya box that handles a lot of the instant services and a Windows server handling the voicemail. Which is the delta server?

Best regards,

The Delta server is part of the CCC Component and I don't believe it requires a seperate license key *Someone please correct me if I'm wrong* The delta server is a piece of windows 2k server software that connects to the phone switch and permits lets you archive and log all call information that occurs on the phone switch. One of it's features is that it can write it's error log directly to a text file. If you were to get delta server and have it output to text file you could parse it for the required information.

There are documents on the setup and operation of the delta server software on Avaya's site under the IP Office section.

Alternatively, CCC comes with a program Call Center View that will let you monitor the status of any extension in the system in real-time. If there's only one person who'll be doing this monitoring it's probably by far the best solution.

The IP Office Manager and the PhoneManager application in a webinterface would increase my happieness about the product with 200%.

Delta Server does not require a licence to run, output SMDR records or its error log. However, CCC is definately a licenced product (this includes call center view).

If only one person needed to view this info you could simply use Phone Manager, which uses a blue circle to indicated someone in DND. Won't help you get the data on a website though.
