Phone Manager 4.2.21 in VoIP phone mode on Windows 7

Hello,

Control Unit IP500, Current firmware 5.0 (26) - Phone Manager 4.2.41

Phone Manager in VoIP IP phone mode (Phone Manager PC Softphone) does not work on Windows 7 (error message “Failed to register with IP
Office for VOIP operation! Contact your system administrator”). I have read that PM 4.2.41 is too old for Win7, but I don't know what/where to upgrade.

PM is no longer supported and you will need to move to One-X (including system upgrade) to achieve CTI on Win7 and above.
 
I have seen that message before, but it should be able to work on Win7.

checklist:
- Do you have VCM resources in IP Office, run monitor and check the first lines upon connectio for VCOMP=x, were x = the number of available VCM channels.
- Is the Gatekeeper enabled on the LAN you connect to in manager. System>LAN1 or LAN2>VoIP
- Do you hav a IP extension for PMPro Voip? Manager>Extensions
- Did you read the docs about installing and configuring PMPro in Voip mode > here
- Did you install the suite as Administrator?
- After installing check if all executables in the PMPro folder are set to run as administrator, right click on .exe>properties>compatibility>run as administrator
- I most likely forgot something but this will get you on the right track
