Is there a user guide somewhere for the System Administrator. We cannot figure out how to access the system to change the auto attendant message and selector codes. We still can't even set the time. I don't have huge technical issues (yet), I just want to be able to do the day to day stuff.

Go to this site and send me a PM (Personal Message)I sign in there as PP.I have Admin PDF for 6.4 Phonemails that I can Email to you if you leave me your Email address

He'll get you the manual. I just recently found out (after 10 years!) that if you have phonemail SE integrated into a Siemens 9006 platform the phonemail will set its time off the PBX, so make sure the PBX is right.

I just changed the time for DST in the phonemail and it was driving me nuts that it kept changing back. Problem was that Siemens never updated my DST tables in the switch when they did my recent upgrade late last year and the time in the switch was an hour off and phonemail kept grabbing it.

Thanks PP. I have done as you request.

Thanks donb01. My SE isn't integrated, and the clock is off by an odd amount.

SE cannot be integrated into a 9006i. The SE ONLY supports analog connections and was meant for the 9200 and 150E iirc...In this case, the time in the switch and PM will always be off....HOWEVER, the same is true with PM and using the SLMS BRI interface to the 9006i....IT DOES NOT pass time between the boxes...only the older 9751 down to the 8000 did via the RS232 connection.....the 9006i and PM can and DO drift apart on time....Once you log on to PM using the login and password for your system, type SA at the prompt...you'll then find the SETDATEANDTIME command....easy as pie...what revision of PM are you running?? PRE V6 and maybe PRE 5.3 had different command structures to get to SA.....

Hello,
Was wondering if you could tell me how to reset the admin password on a Phonemail SE? I can log into it using the tech username, but can't get into sysadmin level due to wrong password being attempted. Thanks!

When you get in through TECH FIELD, type SA and go into System Parameters and change the SA password

Thenks for the quick reply. I can login, connect to the node, but I can't enter SA. It comes back "could not run utility.. Unknown command." Here are the commands I have to choose from:
----- UTILITIES -----
AssignClasses ChannelTrace CheckLDNetConfig
CheckNetWork CheckROMVersion Clearcrashdump
DiskCleanup DisplayLineLimits HDErrorList
HdInfo InbandLog InstallSid
ListError ListLDNetConfig Listlog
ListVersions MonitorPBXLink MonitorTAPLink
OCConfigAndTest SearchCentrexLog Settime
StartCentrexLog StartHostLink StopCentrexLog
StopHostLink SysMaintenance SystemStatus
TalkToLDNSite TAlog TestDisk
TestHostLink TestPBXLink TestPhoneMail
TestTrunk TestVoice UpDateCBXMWI
UpPhoneMail ViewPatch

I think if I could get into the sysadmin level the other commands would show up??

Someone has limited the TECH options, the only way around it is to reboot and have the IPL disk in the FLOPPY, if you need instructions use the link up above and I'll send it to you

I also forgot what Sysmaintenance did. I then recalled we had to use it when we recently installed a Phonemail from another vendor. The prompts were English, but with a UK accent. The generic prompts included "To reach an operator press hash" As a Monty Python skit would say - "Have you got anything without Spam in it?"

It's integrated with a Siemens 3000. With that of course it'll be running it's own time. At least with the 3000 it was easy to copy & paste the new time change tables with Manager E.
