I have a peculiar issue that is driving me crazy. We have a remote site connected through a VPN to our main office where our IP Office is hosted. One specific extension has an issue where her phone will lock up on a regular basis when doing simple things like checking call history or dialing voicemail and have to reboot the phone to get it up and running again. I've tried numerous things to figure this out from assigning the phone a different IP to deleting the user and extension and recreating it to swapping out the phone to another phone, all with the same result. No other users at this site have this problem, and logging in under her extension on another phone at that site causes the same problem, but logging into it at the main site does NOT exhibit this issue. I'm at a loss for what could be causing this. Any thoughts?

Could be an issue with ALG/Service Inspection being active or VPN router software.
Had an issue with SSGs causing strange issues on 96xx sets a specific firmware.

Our router/firewall/vpn is a sonicwall TZ210. Do you know where that option might be in that unit? Also, why would it only affect one extension?

You need to disable H.323 Transformation in SonicWall.
It might just affect some features and the others aren't using them.

I disabled the H.323 transformation, but it didn't make any difference for the user with the freezing.

I guess you turned it off on both sites.

Doing a monitor trace while dialing voicemail might tell you what happens.

After disabling h.323 transformation on both sides it seems to have fixed the issue. I checked with the user this morning and she reported no freezing recently.
