Phone doesn't answer when handset picked up

Brand New R11.1 Install with new 9608G phones

I have seen other posts for this but not a solution:

Have a site where intermittently a call will ring on a handset, the user will pick up the phone and handset will keep ringing. Only when they press the OK button, the call is answered.

Any ideas on how to fix?

What firmware is on the 9608G ?

Sorry for the slow response. This is a remote site and someone just got out there today.

Firmware is 6.6.4

1 A prank with some black tape.
2 A broken phone.

If only 1 phone then maybe a hardware issue.

The correct firmware for a 9608G on that version is 6.6506

Assuming it's R11 SP1 the included firmware is 6.6.6.04

It has a happened across a few phones (all brand new).

I saw this reported in others posts but never saw if they solved it.

I will try the firmware update.
