Hi Everyone,

I had a weird issue pop up. When a call comes in on a PRI and goes to a VMPro based AA it is ending the call. I can see it hit the PRI via System Status but that is it. It is so quick that I cant see the call details but just idle go straight to 0 without a call hitting it. When I have the call go first to a receptionist it works fine but the minute I make it go to a AA it breaks. I have tried several auto attendants. I tried creating a virtual extension with just a voicemail box and the same issue happens. I have not performed a trace as of yet, I will take one tomorrow. The IPO is on 9.1.

A reboot of the IPO and VMPro is scheduled tonight but figured I'd ask.

Any ideas?

I would have said you have something misconfigured, but it sounds like it was working previously. A monitor trace will give you more info than SSA. Not being able to route to a voicemail box suggests issues with VM Pro and the reboot will probably do the trick. I've had much luck with VM Pro issues by simply restarting the services rather than the whole machine as it is much quicker than a reboot.

It was working previously. I haven't touched this system in months so someone else may have. They already did a reboot a few days ago. I am having them do another set of reboots of the IPO and VMPro tonight. I will take a monitor trace tomorrow. Thanks for the reply!

Does vm itself work? Can people leave messages and check messages? Could be a windows update is now activated a firewall block.

What does System Monitor report
System monitor should be the first place you look for issues like these as not only will it show you the call is reaching the system & failing (as shown by system status) but also WHY

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

without knowing anything else, I'd guess the VM pro is transferring to a non-existent extension. Bam, instant disconnect
