Phaser 850N, no magenta

We have a Phaser 850N in the shop. It will not print any reds at all, have run the stripes routine numberous times. The customer is probably using AM ink sticks ( the driver saw some when he picked it up).
Is there any way to get this thing going again??

Gotta replace the head... 3rd party ink kills it.

Has anyone used third party ink that actually works
on the tektronix 840 printers? If so, who makes it,
their address etc. These inks are crazy expensive.
