Replaced the upper feed assembly due to a previous error code and now I receive the message at turn on: "Maintenance Tray is Missing - Open Front Cover and Insert Maintenance Tray".

Have exchanged the tray with a good working unit, have replaced the left and right guides and made a visual inspection but nothing gives me a clue as to the message.

Would very much appreciate any direction anyone can offer.

The maintenance tray "install" is sense by the crum on the tray, which is replaced with the roller, when it seats into the connector in the back of the printer as the tray is installed. It is connected directly to the power control board. Look at the pins of the crum and ensure they are not damaged. Normally there is nothing you disconnect when replacing the upper feed roller that would give you this message. Try doing a NVRAM reset if all else fails. After that it is down to replacing the connector in the back and/or power control board.

Thanks marty5261.

Had a bad power control board, replaced it and all is well.

Thanks for your help.
