phaser 850 ,media tray? 2

Phaser 850 Is saying replace Media tray . I have replaced the media tray switch PWB but no difference Anyone got a solution? Thanks graham.,.,.

Pull out the media tray. On the right side of the tray, near the front, you will see a blue switch with two holes above. One of these holes should be filled with a plastic piece, a tray sense plug. This plug marks if the printer is using A4-paper or Letter. If you don't have a plug, you can allways cover one of the holes by using tape. Upper hole for Letter-size, lower for A4-size.

thanks JOS .. m/c now printing But frequently jams as it leaves the drum ( last 1/4 inch trapped ) Any suggestions ? SORRY to be a pain .. graham..

No probs...

Try to clean the exit roller (rollers just under the exit cover). It is possible that the paper slips over these rollers. If that doesn't work, your transfix clutch might be broken. But please, try to clean the rollers first, it might be just that.
