Hi

I'm using a Phaser 840. Since yesterday I get a paperjam every few pages.

The paper hits the "Drum temperature sensor assembly" and stops. After opening the front cover and removing the paper, the printer needs a clening sheeet where about the 2/3 of the actualy print is on. (first 1/3 is on the jamed paper)

Using the manual feed instead of the tray, the problem occured also but a bit less often.

In the error log I got 22,722.06.

Could someone tell me what the cause of this problem could be. Why is the paper getting to much to the left and therefore hits the temperature sensor?

Thanks for all your suggestions!

When you remove the paperjam and look at the stripper finger assy (lifts the paper from the drum), is this down or up?

If down, this could possibly mean a transfix shaft problem and replacement of the drum transfix assy or a process motor problem.

If in the up position, check the support foil on the left side of the lower tray. Check the paper is loaded square. Check the deskew fingers inside the front cover.
Also check the preheater assy for any pieces of paper left in there after a paper jam.

Thanks for you answer.

The stripper finger assy moves but sometime doesn't manage to lift the paper. On the partlist of this printer i found a "Rapid Release Guide Conversion Kit" and something about a Service Bulletin 456 Rev. 1.

Could someone tell me something about this Service Bulletin and if this Conversion Kit could solve my problem.

Thanks!
