Sorry Electric Warrior, but WHERE is the thread that covers this query. I couldn't find it on your post, and I have searched on 29623 without result...

Thanks
John

Gjohn: the response is below under "Phaser 850 error 07,004.46:24878"

the 850 is the same as the 840 with respect of the error the last five numbers of the error indicate the page count and are irrevelant to the error itself.

the first group of numbers are the failing system
the secound group is the failing subsystem.
the third group is the type of problem.

The drum maintenance clutch is burned up. Probably due to replacing the maintenance drawer due to worn lift pins.

What would be the fix for this error. I have an 840 that is giving me the same error message.

Thanks

I'm getting the same error. Where is this located and what does it look like? Thanks, John

First replace your Maintenance draw, or sleave the lift pins on it with ten mm teflon spacers. After you have tried this and reset the printer and if the problem persists, the first thing to replace would be your dm clutch.

Good luck
