Phaser 8200 Flag Sensor..Where does it GO? 2

I replaced the pre-heater bulbs on my Phaser 8200. (it was not too bad) But as I was pulling out the casing, that holds the bulbs, a small plastic flag fell, from what appeared to be the “front inside roof” of the printer. This ended up in the paper tray where I retrieved it. I have no idea where this goes! I belive the part is the Preheater exit sensor assembly but I am not sure. Can anyone tell me where this flag goes? It is abour 1/4 inch. in size.

P.S. When I start the printer I get an automatic “paper Jam” error… which I assume comes from the sensor flag missing.

What color is the flag and what is its shape?

It looks like the head of an axe and it is beige in color.

That sounds like the A/A4 sensor. It goes in the upper preheat entry guide assy. That is the metal rod you had to take out to get to the drum thermal preheater. if you take it back out and look on the right hand side there should be two flags that color. you might have broken one off.

P.S Would you happen to know the name or the part number for that plastic sensor? I don’t think crazy glue is going to hold it for long!

you have to buy the whole assy. you are not going to want to do that as i can guess it will be costly but the part number is

351-1106-00
Upper feed assy, top half, with circuit bd,
Phaser 850/860/8200

Ebay maybe but Xerox makes sure everything gets shipped back to them so it might be hard to find used. I might be able to find the flag laying around. i will let you know tomorrow.
