Got this error code upon start up. Can anybody tell me where to go from here. Says Jet right therm out of range. Thanks for any replys

No 21 errors in manual. If message says a Jet stack problem, then it is either the printhead, of the power supply. Re-seat the power supply, and all cables.
If unit was worked on, and the P-head removed, check the ribbon cables.

Hi,

Xerox's own support web states this:

Phaser 860/8200 Printers: Error code 21.07

The printer is unable to communicate with a device on the main board.

Try reseating the main board. You can find the complete procedure here:
then follow the link that says knowledgde base and search for 21.07

Yah, I checked there and saw addendum to the manual I have.
I am a Xerox Authorized Sales and Service Tech. I find that my manuals are missing a lot. And they are from Xerox!
Is the unit fixed?

Tried reseating the main board and then got a service error report fault 08.009.65:56819. Tried reseating the board several more times. No luck

I DID NOTICE THAT THE 21.07 ERROR IS SHOWING UP AT THE PRINTHEAD TEST. help!!!

8,009.65 is a Y-Axis Encoder fault. this can be due to a worn belt, or bad motor.

I found an overview of POST (Power On Self Test) Error messages. It says:
21.07 means right Prinhead jetstack termistor out of range. Replace the printhead.

As for 08,009.65 This is an error due to an unexpected message received while homing the Cap/Wipe/Purge assy, usually during system initialization. And just like Michael52x says, due to a failure of the Y-Axis Encoder. This Encoder can be tested through diagnostic. You'll find the Y-Axis Encoder assy (a three legged black thing) on the left side of the drum. If you need to replace it the part number is: 650-4144-01 (Y-axis encoder kit, Phaser 850/860/8200)

But i'll go for Michael52x's suggestion, check for mechanical faults first. Could be a dirty pulse disc in the encoder assy...

Good luck
