I have been trying to get this printer to print a picture on a semi glossy paper. I tried different kinds of papers for laser printers, I even used Hammermil because someone mentioned that it works with no problem. I had some limited success with that one. It work great if I want to print a word document, but when I try to print a picture, the black ink will not fuse with the paper and will chip away. I have tried different settings... changed all the colors to -10 and still the same results. anyone else experianced this problem with this printer? is there someting wrong with the printer or just the paper that I buy?

Thanks :)

What is the fuser life? It may not be regulating the heat correctly. Print speed should be reduced for glossy papers. try the transparency setting for this paper.
It does not have to be Xerox paper.

the fuser has about 730 copies on it. its about 10 years old, it's the original fuser that came with the copier, we just haven't used the printer that much. Is there a shelf life that I should be concerned with? I'll try the transparency setting tho :)

Thanks for the help!
