Phaser 7300 won't feed paper 1

I support a company that has a Phaser 7300. The paper feeds correctly until it gets to the tranfer unit. Here's the skinny from the end user:
Previous transfer unit black plastic shifted and was cut. End user installed new transfer unit and paper will not feed correctly now.
I have checked the gears and they are rotating, however it appears that the transfer unit belt is not. The paper fan fold jams right at the unit.
I have visually inspected the unit and see no foreign object in the printer. I do not currently have a service manual for this printer.
Any and all help appreciated. If you have access or can send me a link to order a service manual for this printer, I'd appreciate it.

Remove the Belt from the printer. Try to rotate the gear on the belt. If it does not rotate it is defective. (very common problem with this printer) It has a 90 day warranty on it. Xerox's phn# 1800 835 6100.

Thanks for the tip. I tried rotating the gears as you suggested and they would not move at all. I have advised the end user to aquire another one. I am awaiting its arrival to see if that fixes the issue.

I am still looking for a 7300 service manual.
