Phaser 6200 won't recognize new image unit

Installed new image unit on Phaser 6200. Keeps telling me to reseat or install image unit....HELP!

I had exactly the same problem. Somebody directed me to replace the engine board, which didn't solve the problem. There's a gear that needs to be re-set to push the contacts out further IIRC.

Can someone point to a PDF or webpage or instructions that specify how to make this addjustment? I just recieved a 6250 that is exhibiting the typical 'reseat or install' the imaging unit error. The unit was shipped with the imaging unit removed (and stored in its own original box) and it worked before being shipped.

Call Xerox your 6250 should be under warranty.

Indeed it was and it was fixed. The problem is the very same V-rack problem described on a 6200 issues thread. Simple to fix.

It is a very common issue with both of those printers. I am glad your problem was resolved.
