Phaser 560 Not printing powerpoint presentations

I have a user with a Tektronix Phaser 560 Color Printer. She is trying to print out a powerpoint presentation that is 27 slides long. She is trying to print the format Handouts with 3 slides to a page (a total of 9 printed pages). The first page prints out after that long warm up time that this printer has then nothing else comes out.

I thought it might be a memory issue b/c the printer has 40MB of RAM installed and under printer properties / device settings the PC only noted standard 8MB Ram. I changed this number to be 40MB to match what the printer actually had but I get the same results. First page and nothing else prints. If I go in and tell it to print slides 4-6 (what would be on page 2) and choose only that range to print then I get nothing. If the first 3 slides are included in the range then I at least get them on the 1st page but then nothing after that we can't get any further.

If you have any suggestions that could help they are greatly appreciated.

Are you able to print the same file from a different station? Max the memory.

I can print the presentation via network to another user's HP Deskjet color printer with no problems but when I try to go via parallel cable to the Tektronix right there at the users workstation no luck. We have the extended version of the Phaser 560 with the maximum memory installed.

Also I enabled the Post Script Error Handler and get no error sheets printed out. It shows the presentation spooling the first few pages print out then it disappears from the queue just as if it had printed out fine. If I print full slides I get to slide 4 before I encounter a problem. If I try to print Handouts 3 slides per page the very first page (slides 1-3) do not come out right the note lines do not show up at all and you only get partial prints of the 3 slides.

This machine belongs to my General Manager so any help that you can provide is greatly appreciated. I thought it might be the document and had her print out the whole presentation minus the slides I believed to be causing the trouble and she printed 1-3 and 5 fine (4 seems to be a problem slide it doesn't even print correctly if you choose just to print it) and after slide 5 it quit just like it was finished printing.

Please advise what I need to try next. I purchased a high density parallel cable to replace the regular paralled cable and adapter that I was using but that caused completely different issues so we are back to the original setup.

Being told by Xerox/Tektronix that this problem may be a corrupt file I told the user to try recreating the presnetation but before I had her do that (due to the fact that she didn't create the original version and may not have all of the pictures and charts that were used) we test printed alternate documents. She says that she had trouble printing a picture but I didn't see that first hand but I went over while she was out and test printed several powerpoint presentations and had the exact same problem with at least 3 presenations of varying sizes so I don't believe it was her file after all.

Any ideas? She has the extended version of the printer with the extended featurs and 512MB of memory installed.
