Hi-

I just bought a supposedly working printer on ebay. It gets stuck on "Initializing....Please Wait". NVRAM Reset instructions do not work. Best I can tell after reading through this forum is that the Drum Heater is not working since no I do not see any lamps during the warm up.

How do I test/change these? Where can I get the parts?
From reading the forum I figured out how to get the side panel off. Now what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated? Thanks. -Larry

I am probably in the same boat here. Bought phaser 350 from Ebay, stuck initializing (no error codes). I don't see any lights either during warmup either.

How do I fix this?

diprato@yahoo.com is my e-mail,if anyone can help out.

Eternal initialization:
-----------------------
You have to feed paper in manual feeder (several, one at a time). Your machine is configured to use (recycled) paper from manual feeder instead of (letterhead) from drawer. When up and running, you can change this from menu.

Lamp:
-----
Lamp's normal operation in idle is to flash at around 30 Hz. When warming light pulses get longer. When too hot, drum fan will start to operate with similar pattern. This way machine controls drum temperature. You can't see the lamp (in very dark some light from went opening in right side).

If drum heater is not heating enough (broke e.a.), you get error 15,004.45

I removed the right side panel of the printer so I could see the light. Powered it up - no light visible.
So I tried to feed paper in the manual feeder per your suggestion. It did not grab the paper, but the light came on and I noticed some of the wax melted for the first time in the ink well. But the display still read "initializing, please wait", Eventually the light went out and the fan came on per your statement.

So I guess I am close. Any ideas ? thanks
